How To Make A Craft Show Banner Part 2
If you have made it this far, congratulations. All right. We’ve done our sewing and now it’s time to make the banner yours. Step 1: Using pencil trace out your words (or pictures… whatever). I also suggest going over the lines with marker. Fabric markers would be best, but I used a Sharpie. Step 2: I had a lot of pencil marks because I did my lettering freehand. You may be smarter than me and use a stencil. Either way, I wanted the pencil off the fabric before I started to paint. I washed my banner in cold water, hung to dry, and then ironed it to make it smooth. Step 3: (I suggest fabric paint, but I used acrylics) Paint your banner. Take care to put some cardboard under the parts you are painting in case the paint bleeds through the fabric. Step 4: Let it dry. Step 5: Run a rope or string through the top of the banner and admire your craft show banner. Now your banner is ready to be hung from your craft show tent or table. Smile as people say, “what a cool banner you have!” |
